510A-15ABR - Trouble awaking from sleep

My new 510A-15ABR has had a hickup three times since purchase.    I have 337 days of warranty left but would rather solve the problem than return the computer.    Installation and setup was a breeze.   Several days after I had the computer, it went to sleep when I left to go to lunch.   When I returned, it wouldn't awaken from sleep, almost like a permanent hybernation.  The power button was blinking.   I moved the mouse, hit the ESC key, Windows key, even hit the power button without any response.   I turned the computer off, waited about 10 minutes and when I turned it back on, the results were the same, still in some sort of hybernation.    I disassembled the computer and took it back to Best Buy and when they plugged it in, everything worked fine.

This situation has happened twice since and the only way to get the computer to respond is to unplug the power supply and wait about 10 minutes.   Each time, that has solved the issue.    There are many times the computer will sleep but awaken as normal.    The power settings are blanced with 10 minutes monitor and 1 hour for the pc to sleep.

Is there a setting in Windows 10 or the bios that is causing this malfunction.   If it hadn't happened 3 times, I wouldn't be concerned but it is annoying.

Ideas?

Re: 510A-15ABR - Trouble awaking from sleep

At the time you sleep, is there an error in the event log?

Re: 510A-15ABR - Trouble awaking from sleep

The description for Event ID 16387 from source ATIeRecord cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

the message resource is present but the message is not found in the string/message table

another error:

Volume Shadow Copy Service information: The COM Server with CLSID {0b5a2c52-3eb9-470a-96e2-6c6d4570e40f} and name Coordinator cannot be started. [0x80070422, The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

Another error:

svchost (7804,D,46) Unistore: The database page read from the file "C:\Users\djone\AppData\Local\Comms\UnistoreDB\store.vol" at offset 13541376 (0x0000000000cea000) (database page 3305 (0xCE9)) for 4096 (0x00001000) bytes failed verification because it contains no page data.  The read operation will fail with error -1019 (0xfffffc05).  If this condition persists then please restore the database from a previous backup. This problem is likely due to faulty hardware. Please contact your hardware vendor for further assistance diagnosing the problem.

All of these errors are from yesterday.    I don't know what each error references though.    Since the last time this has happened,  the computer has updated to the lates version of Windows 10 and I have updated the drivers for the display.

I'm not exactly sure what information from the event log you are requesting. .. BTW..thanks for your help

Re: 510A-15ABR - Trouble awaking from sleep

Since updating my display drivers, I've had the display freeze up a couple of times.   When I check the event, I get this error frequently.

Re: 510A-15ABR - Trouble awaking from sleep

Two thing you may want to try:

Power options -> choose what the power buttons do -> change settings that are currently unavailable -> disable turn on fast startup

Second, right click desktop to AMD Radeon settings -> preferences -> Radeon addtional settings -> AMD Start Now Technology -> Disable Smart Sleep

Re: 510A-15ABR - Trouble awaking from sleep

Thanks for the quick reply.   I changed the power setting but was unable to find anything closely related to AMD Start Now Technology.    I've included two pics to show what I viewed.

radeon additional settings.PNGradeon additional settings 2.PNG

Am I missing something in the Radeon menu?   I have a newer Samsung monitor so it should not be a problem.

Re: 510A-15ABR - Trouble awaking from sleep

The option must not be available on your version of video driver.  Don't worry, you're not missing anything!

Did disabling fast startup help?

I haven't had the issue but it is intermittent.    I'll post within a week to see if anything has changed.    I appreciate your help.

Thanks

Re: 510A-15ABR - Trouble awaking from sleep

Well it's been a week and I've yet to experience the problem.    I'm not saying it a fix but so far so good.    So, I'll we've really done is change the UAC and turned off fast start up.

I'll report back at another time.

Again, thanks for your time and support.
