Basically I was gaming on my pc when the game and my pc crashed, the game was Terra, I shut the thing off at the power switch because it didn't respond for half and hour. I let it rest overnight and when I booted it up in the morning after several attempts to repair the pc I just reinstalled windows. It said it was going to uninstall all my apps but keep my personal files, it deleted the links but not the actual stored files. I canot find anyway to get to my old files to delete them or use them but they are still taking up storage space, I have defragged, checked in all the folders I could think of, I'm literally at my wits end with this and have no idea what to do.
If anyone has previously had this happen or has any idea what to do please help me.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Would you have the machine number from the sticker?
How did you reinstall Windows and do you have any need to back up your files?
As some machines would have One Key Recovery feature to factory restore the machine, Windows reset would also have similar option. Open file explorer, click view on top and place a check on the show hidden file and folders.
Proceed to search for diskmgmt.msc to right click and select disk management to show how things are stored on the physical space. Here you have options to delete, shrink and check for the partition property.
Update us how it goes.
