Creating a recovery drive for new Lenovo H50

I got a new H50 desktop yesterday and I am trying to make a recovery usb drive or dvd recovery discs.  I went to the recovery area on the computer, but there doesn't seem to be anything to teach you how to create recovery media, just how to recover the system using recovery media you already made, at least that how I interpreted it.  Can anyone help me with this?  Thanks in advance.

Hi ajgaspr627,

You will need to use the OKR software from inside windows to be able to create the recovery media.

Hope this help you and let us know how you get on

Re: Creating a recovery drive for new Lenovo H50

Assuming you are running Windows 10, you can just run C:\Windows\System32\recoverydrive.exe or search for recoverydrive.exe from the Start Menu, and then follow the prompts to create a Windows 10 recovery drive.

Re: Creating a recovery drive for new Lenovo H50

Hey guys, thanks for your help regarding the recovery disk.

Now I have another question. On Saturday my H50 updated itself from Version 1511 Build 105386318 to Version 1607 OS build #14393.693.  I was going to do a One Touch Recovery to restore my system back to out of the box condition.  Would I still be able to do this? Or did that version 1607 delete the partitions?  I looked in File Explorer and I can see that there is only a C drive.  I don't see a Recovery Drive.,unless Lenovo doesn't show them.  Does One Key repartition the drive so you can do a system restore?   When I press F2 I see that the OKR is still on the computer but I'm afraid to press the Start Key on the One Key.  I'm sorry for all the questions but I'm not very tech savvy.  I am running Windows 10 installed at the factory.
