DVD Drive disabled...?

2011-02-27, 22:01 PM

I have the ideacenter K320 with i7

I installed some DVD burning program and I guess it somehow disabled my DVD drive via the registry.

My DVD drive wont even show up if I look at my computer.

When I look in device manager it has a yellow exclamation under

DVD/CD-Rom drives

     > HL-DT-ST BDDVDRW CH20N

If I right click and go to properties under Device Status it says:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Hello mate,

In the device manager right click on it and uninstall.

Then reboot and it will reinstall it. It should solve the problem

System Restore should have been the answer.

I have the same Problem. After restart nothing changed. Send the IdeaCentre to the (german) service. It came back after 4,5 weeks!

2 Days later, the Drive again disappeared - first the Drive D: then the hardware device - gone.

what to do - throw it our of the windows- waiting again 4 weeks to get the crub back....?
