I recently purchased the K220 with Vista 64bit.  I don't see a telephone port in the back and would like to send faxes from the computer by scanning as .PDFs.  I have an internal modem, but when I opened the tower, I could not find a COM1 socket to plug the 4-hole plug into.  I did see a COM2 socket, but that has 8 or 10 pins.  I have a wired router, cablemodem and telephone (voip) modem.  Am I missing something?  Is there an internal faxmodem?  If so, how do I set it up?

There is no internal 56k modem to do what you are asking. But, the fact that you have high speed internet with the Cable Modem, means that all you would need is a Printer with a Scanner, Fax Machine (an All-in-One) and plug that into your USB port on the computer. Any of the newer HP, Lexmark, etc printers will have this feature and that way you won't have to deal with buying out dated technology...
