Re: H430 graphic card upgrade

What is the memory size on your GTX 1050?  Because I do see a couple of H430 with 1050 in the benchmarks here (also 750 Ti):   h430-graphics-upgrade-Help-please

Re: H430 graphic card upgrade

FYI,

Everything I have researched indicates the GTX 1050 Ti 4g should work.  Even through the throughput will not be 8 gb but limited to 5 gb that's not an issue because I am not gaming.  So the board is not the issue.  On another site, a user posted success with this processor: Same gen as the 2300 (see below) GPU is 4g PSU is less than mine and the PCIe is 2.0 (hence the reduction in throughput) So I can only conclude that if the MB and Proccessor support the ti at 4 gb then there must be some issue with the GPU.  I do not have access to another pc to test further and speculating that the mb or cpu is the issue and replace these would simply cost more money without resolving the issue. Already replaced the PSU but that was cleally not the issue.  Appreciate  everyone's input and assitance :)

My Main PC Build:

CPU: Intel Core i5 2320 @ 3.00GHZ
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti Windforce OC 4GB @ 1.75 GHz

RAM: Ballistix Sport (1x8 GB) + Generic (2x2 GB)

Storage: Seagate FireCuda Gaming SSHD 1TB

Motherboard: Dell 0Y2MRG

PSU: CoolerMaster Elite Power 460

Case: Dell XPS 8300

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

Peripherals:

Display: ASUS VE278Q 27" Full HD 1920x1080 2ms

Keyboard: Logitech K120

Mouse: Zelotes T90 9200 DPI

Sound: Logitech H390 (Upgrading soon)

The Lenovo H430 uses a Intel H61 chipset motherboard with a legacy BIOS on a 4MB ROM chip so how can anyone get a GTX 1050 Ti or 2GB that only works with UEFI that needs a 8MB ROM chip to function?
