H50-50 upgraded graphics and PSU

2015-12-18, 0:28 AM
Hey. I just picked up this computer 90BG0022US within a trade. Wanting to run dual monitors. Right now it has one vga and an hdmi. I don't think I can run an extended desktop the way that is set up. I have a Geforce 6600 and access to a 8800. Will an older card work with this computer?

Any other cards that people have tried on this pc? Have been out of the desktop game for around 5 years now.

hi Jackale,

Welcome to the Forums.

Ideally, the list of cards on the hardware maintenance manual (see page 65) are the GPU's that were tested compatible for the unit. Older cards should work too but you will need to disable Secure Boot and UEFI in the BIOS.

As for other cards, other users have tried as much as a GTX 750 Ti (low profile) on a stock 280W PSU. Anything higher will require you to upgrade the PSU as the GPU will require you to use a 6pin power connector (or more).
