Hello, when i updated my H520 to windows 8.1 the Realtek Wireless card stopped working (code 43). I downloaded this driver
http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/desktop/h1100916.exe and it removed the code 43 error. However now my 1x1 11b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express half Mini card adapter is showing the code 43 error. What should i do?

I just today noticed I'm having the same code 43 on my H520 wireless LAN. I found another posting with a number of suggestions, the most useful of which seemed to be replacing the Microsoft driver with a Realtek driver. I tried that, but the device is still showing a Code 43 for the device while using the Realtek driver. I trust someone is working on this; as it is my H520 has no wireless capability since the Windows 8.1 upgrade.

I finally solved this problem by retrying the steps posted elsewhere in the community. I did NOT revert my o/s to Windows 8 and reinstall the upgrade to 8.1. I simply went into Device Manager and uninstalled the wireless adapter and its software. I then downloaded and installed the Realtek 8188CE Windows 8 driver from the Lenovo H520 drivers page. Finally, I followed the steps to update that driver, selecting the option to choose the driver myself. You should see a Microsoft driver and a Realtek driver - pick the Realtek driver and you should be good to go.

This is extremely frustrating. I have done each of these suggestions. Now I am reduced to running a 50' Ethernet cable across my living room floor. This computer is 5 days old. It won't even recognize a USB 802.11 adapter that I had in my closet for just such occasions (Linksys WUSB11). My disappointment is unfathomable. This should be a Critical Update because the reason I purchased this machine vs. the others was for the built in wireless. I am considering returning it.
