We had to replace the hard disk on our computer.
It originally never came with any recovery disks. How do I get a copy of Windows 8 and the product code which goes with my computer?

Hi berj88 ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
OEM machine starting with Windows 8 and above moved to media less option to automatically reset default factory using hidden partition image. One Key Recovery (page16) can be accessed tapping on F2 upon restart to launch System recovery from initial backup to restore.
OEM product key starting from Windows 8 and above are no longer offered on microsoft sticker as it was now embedded on the systemboard chip as it should automatically activate soon as it reach the microsoft server online. Some software maybe able to check it as some may just give generic codes.
If any chance that the recovery image OKR failed maybe due to changes on partition or bad harddrive , then you can order your recovery media from tech support if you have not create one previously.
Hope this help answer your query.
