Lenovo H50-55 Is my PCIE Express slot 1.0 2.0 or 3.0 ?

I want to upgrade my pc with a new graphics card (specifically the GTX750Ti) And i need to know what version my PCIE Express is 1.0 2.0 or 3.0 ?(That i currently have my GT730 in)   I would really appreciate an answer, because if i don't get one then I don't know what to do.

Hi izzyfast123 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

As it would be helpful if you have a specific machine number ( Check on the machine number from the sticker or check it from here ,just keep your serial number confidential) , based on the hardware manual (item7 pg26) : Slot 1: half-length, full-height, PCIe x16 (Version 2.0, 75w max) matching the bus interface of your GT730 PCI Express 2.0 .

You may also verify this information running analysis tool such as here and here that can confirm your version as built on your system showing you the bus interface .

Hope this help answer your query.

Update us how it goes with your machine.

Regards

Re: Lenovo H50-55 Is my PCIE Express slot 1.0 2.0 or 3.0 ?

I found my machine type/number which is 90BF and my serial number. I have two questions still. Is it possible to even put a GTX750Ti into my machine (based on what you know) ? I've heard that 2.0 PCIE Express ports work with 3.0 GPU's, but I'm not 100% sure if that works. If it does work however, would i need to upgrade my PSU (Power supply) if I'd want to upgrade ? Most sites recommend 400-500W PSU for the card, but I've looked it up and it should only be 60W for the card alone and that doesn't make any huge difference from the 23W my GT730 needs.

You did answer my first question by the way.

Hi izzyfast123 ,

The half form GTX750Ti should work but I was trying to get an actual case that can confirm this yet.

So far we had similar discussion that can help get more info about upgrades done by fellow members here and and here . Similar video here.

Do take time to review but if you already have the spare graphics then it would be worth while.

Regards
