I'm having a problem with a Lenovo H500 desktop. It will not boot. I get an ACPI_BIOS_ERROR) and it automatically restarts. It originally had Windows 8 and was upgraded to Windows 10 about 1 year ago. I've created bootable USB sticks for windows 10, windows 8, and windows 7 and i get the same message with all (ACPI_BIOS_ERROR). I made a linux bootable and it too won't run due to an ACPI problem. The only thing i can run is the Lenovo bootable USB diagnostic tool. All tests check ok with the tool.
I've tried every imaginable bios setting and nothing works. I removed the HDD and hooked it up to another computer via a usb cable and was able to at least copy all my files. I can see that everything on the HDD, including the recovery partition, is still intact. I am out of ideas. I would love to re-flash the bios but that is impossible without being able to boot the computer. Unfortunatly I don't have a recovery disk or I would try that.
Anyone have any ideas???
