I recently bought (used) a Lenovo H520 that will not boot. When I press the power button, the fans spin up and the power button stays solid on. The disk read/write light quickly flashes about every three seconds. Absolutely nothing happens on screen so I cannot access the BIOS. I got it cheap due to a bad hard drive and used an old Windows 7 drive instead. I upgraded it to Windows 10 (x64, wiping the 32-bit 7) and it worked fine. I do not know what changed between then and now but now it will not boot. I have already attempted booting without the hard drive to the same effect.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
1. Plug the cable into the socket and the machine.
2. Turn power off at the wall.
3. Hold down the power button on the front of the machine for 1 minute
4. Turn wall socket back on.
5. Turn machine back on.
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
