Lenovo does not put any OEM PN/FRU numbers on the CPUs it used, as shown in the image below taken from the H530s parts list, so I don't think that Lenovo

manufacturing custom intel CPUs is the problem.

There were, however, 4 different system boards (motherboards) used on that model, but Lenovo does not provide any online documentation on how they differ    To of the 4 motherboards do mention "95W Refresh" (the Core i7 has a TDP of 84W vs only 54W for the core I3), but I do no know of that makes any difference or not.    There were also two PSUs available, a 180W and a 240W, so if you have discrete GPU and other internal power needs, that could be a factor too.

Best of luck,

Hello @rinly,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Did you install a CPU with the OEM part number (From Lenovo).

Because it could be possible that this is what's causing the incompatibility.

I would also suggest trying the cpu on a different machine to see if it will boot.

Kindly post your MTM (ex 82B10000FR) so that other members can join in the discussion and offer solutions.

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Jack_Lenovo1

Thanks for your reply! I think this is the main reason ,i shouldn't think the prsef list is general for all h530s.
