Lenovo K450e won't properly go into sleep mode

I've got a Lenovo K450e with Windows 10. When I click on Start->Power->Sleep the computer shuts down just like it's supposed to, but after 1-2 minutes, it begins making a lot of noise, despite being in sleep mode.

 

I haven't had this problem with other computers. The only reason I put the computer in sleep mode is that I'd like it to be completely silent. How to solve this?

Please review the article I have linked below.  It will explain some of the settings in Windows 10 that you can disable in order to prevent the computer from waking back up.
