Lenovo SK8861 Keyboard function keys stopped working

Hello there,

I have had the IdeaCenter K430 for around 3 months now, and a few of the function keys wont work anymore!

For example, the eject disk or (fn+f4) works a treat.. But none of the other keys work..

Any idea's on how to fix this issue?

Thanks

Re: Lenovo SK8861 Keyboard function keys stopped working

hello RMattoo, im affraid this didnt resolve my issue.

I have no idea what might be causing this issue but after installing the driver again, there was no change with the fn keys... the same ones still work but again, not all of them e.g. volume and music ones, however the LVT works and the eject disk one does work..

Thanks

Iwan

Re: Lenovo SK8861 Keyboard function keys stopped working

I think I have a similar problem here - I have had the Lenovo SK8861 wireless keyboard for about 3-4 months, and first the w stopped working, then the 2 joined in.  Sometimes shaking it and blowing on the keys fixes the problem, sometimes not.  I have tried taking out the *ireless usb connector, and reconnecting, and it doesn't seem to help.  The strangest thing is that it is so variable - as you *ill see above, I *as able to type the first problem letter *hen I started this post, and no* I can't.  No food or drink has been spilt on the keyboard.
Help!  I ish I never bought Lenovo!

Re: Lenovo SK8861 Keyboard function keys stopped working

I bought the  A740 PC several months ago andI'm disappointed with lenovo. Not only was it loaded with adware (had to pay someone to remove it) but my old Dell X430 windows 7 ran faster and more smoothly and was only replaced when the fans stopped working. Several times I have had issues with the Lenovo keyboard model SK-8861. The functions keys work, but the keys controlling the alphabet do not respond when pressed. I take the batteries out and then reboot, reinsert the batteries and then it works for several more days or weeks and then the problem comes back. When I went to the Lenovo website it recommended a driver update: when I tried to run it the dialog box comes up with ???? all over the box. You really believe I can trust Lenovo after all the bad press.
