Lenovo Solution Center Test gives error WMB01A008-WL7Z51, USB error in Motherboard Test

Have new Lenovo Desktop.  Ran Lenovo Solution Center Test and got lister USB error in Motherboard Test.  All USB ports work and cannot find any problems in Device Manager.  could this be a false error in the Solution Center???

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

You may initially start with a newer version of Lenovo Solution Center and update drivers as compared to ones listed from the support site.

 

As this may be a false positive error specially if mentioned ports are working as expected.

Nonetheless, decoding error code as best provided by tech support for further recommendations.

 

Update us how it goes.

Well I checked for latest version of Solution Center & ran test again.  Same results.  Connected with support and he ran several tests for about 30 minutes & no solution so I dont know where I stand.  As mentioned in original post I am an amature but I cant find anything wrong with motherboard or any of the USB ports, computer is still under warranty but hope it is not an issue later.....

Greetings. 

 

On a similar post :

Check to see if you are using the latest version of the Lenovo Solution Center.  The latest version is 3.3.002 and can be downloaded by clicking here.  If you need to upgrade the Lenovo Solution Center then try running the test again after the newest version is installed and the computer has been rebooted.  Some earlier versions of the Solution Center would produce false positive results with some hardware.

 

How was the findings when tech support ran their tool with the error code?

Would you have the same result with and without any device attached?

 

I usually fully uninstall the LSC and use individual diagnostics (lenovo motherboard test in our case), comparing it with other test similar to this and this. As the USB would still work as expected , errors may just be localized on the software .
