If the caps lock and or the num lock led indicator is not responding the you are encountering a NO POST problem on the computer.
Is there NO Activity on the display at all?
Are you hearing any Beeps when you turn on your computer?
Are there any flashing light?
Is the power light on the computer staying on after turning it ON?
Method 1: Unplug any third party device connected to your computer.
- Turn Off computer and unplug the power cable from it.
- Press an and hold the power button for atleast 15 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable and check if you will see any display on your computer.
Method 2: Repeatedly tapping the F2 key from the top most part of the keyboard right after hitting the power button to turn it on (from shutdown) and check is you can see the BIOS page.
- If you are able to boot to BIOS, hit F9 of FN+9 then select YES to restore BIOS to defaults then F9 of FN+9 to save changes.
Method 3: Reseat( process of removing and correctly placing them back into place)the the following:
- Unplug any third party device connected to your computer.
- Turn Off computer and unplug the power cable from it.
- Press an and hold the power button for atlease 15 seconds.
- reseat RAM
- reseat HDD
- reseat DVD ROM
- reseat Wireless Card
- reseat totally remove NVIDIA
- Plug back the power cable and test your computer
Method 4:If the problem still persists and if your computer is still in warranty, Please contact Lenovo technical support through this link because your computer needs repair/ parts replacement.
