Warranty Activation

2009-05-01, 19:26 PM

My newly purchased Ideacentre K22 arrived today, and everything is working great thusfar.  I also purchased the 3 Yr. At-Home Ideacentre Warranty Upgrade.  I do have one question.  When I went online to verify my warranty, it only indicated the standard warrany.  So, I'm wondering, how do I go about registering my computer and making sure that the 3-year extended warranty is activated?

Thanks in advance for helping a Lenovo novice!

I believe that it takes some time for Lenovo to update the warranty status for your IdeaCenter desktop. Since the standard warranty is 1 year, they initially set the warranty status as 1 year. However, since you purchased an extended warranty of 3 years, they will update the status in the near future.

Thank you for your reply.  Just for the record, I did not contact you via PM about this matter -- that is, unless you are the contact for the websales@lenovo.com address.  That address, and this public forum, are the only means that I have utilized to try to find the answer to my question.

If you don't mind, please let me know what you're talking about.  Because, again, I have not contacted you via PM att any time.

I am sorry if you were confused by my signature :smileyhappy: . The purpose of my signature is to inform all users on this forum to not ask for individual support via PM [personal message]. But instead create threads, or search the threads for information regarding issues/problems they are having with their Lenovo products. This forum is a community of members providing information and support for the benefit of others, and individual support defeats this sole purpose.

As you may notice, this second response also contains my "signature". Hope you understand.

Oh, Ok -- thanks for the clarification.  I'm still getting used to things around here...
