Re: Bios upgrade failure on lenovo 3000 k100

I also experienced a failure attempting to update the bios with the Flash download.  My current bios is 2SKG28 and I downloaded the   "2SJG33USA.EXE" (Flash from operating system version)

Installing the package in Windows Vista
======================
1.  Close all open applications.
2.  Click 'Start' -> 'All Programs' -> 'Accesories'.
3.  Right click 'Command Prompt', select 'Run as administrator'.
    If the User Access Control (UAC) dialog box pops up, select Allow.
4.  Type "cd C:\LENOVOTOOLS\FLASH\2SJG33\" and press Enter
5.  Type "FLASH.CMD" and press Enter.
6.  Two windows will pop up, with the upper window showing the update process.***

***At this point I received the 'incorrect ROM ID' failure, and was able to exit.

Thanks for the assist!

Can you boot into Safe Mode?

Also, could you elaborate more on the the computer not booting.

Does it bluescreen?

Does it hang while loading Windows?

Does it hang at the BIOS splash screen?
