To help you we will need a bit more information

1. Do you hear the sound when you boot

2. Do you hear the sound when you save something to disk ( to test this try saving something to a thumb drive )

3. Is there anytime when you don't hear the vibration noise.

4. Is there something you do that makes the vibration more pronounced

5. Have you installed any new hardware

These are just a few thing, If you can give us more detailed information we might be able to help. (Remember in computers there is no such thing as too much information)

1) Sound is constant as soon as I boot the computer just after the fan first big pulse

2) Sound is constant as Computer is running no change when I save something to disk

3) No noise when Computer is in low power consumption mode (standby mode in the startup menu)

4) No

5) No

From the information that you gave me it sound like the fan is your problem when your system goes into standby mode the BIOS turns the fan off. Power down your system and disconnect the power to the fan. Reboot and see if the sound is still there, don't let you system run to long this way or it will overheat. If you don't hear the noise after booting then we know it's the fan which is an easy fix.

first make sure the fan is secure to the case

if that does not work replace the fan,

If this does solve your problem let me know

Hi, I will try you suggestion now. But there are at least 3 fans (2 on the cards and another one in the Power supply) I will disconnect the 2 fans that are on processors. If it doesn't change this will mean it comes from the power supply. Is it possible to have advance replacement??

I let you know what happened in few hours.

Hi, Test is done  the noise is still here, it seems this comes from the power supply. As I put my hand on it , I can feel the vibration.

I'm afraid that such a change may be a hard job (because I bought it at a Superstore and support is not done  directly by them, and if I have to return the PC ...) .

Can you advise me? Maybe aren't you from Lenovo?

Thks for feedback

Hi

I have the the same problem with my K210. Did you get any resolution?

I know that the noise is coming from the case itself. The vibrations are caused by the hard drive(s).

If you run the machine with the hard drive removed from the case, the noise is not there

Sorry

No resolution. But, as I said previously, on mine, it doesn't seems to come from HDD...

I'll try to remove it and let you know in the coming days.

Since I installed a TV tuner card and a PCI video card in a K210, I upgraded the power supply. Found a power supply of about 575 watts from an online site called geeks.com for about $20 to $25. Works well.

That's the one I put in, but most any similar supply should work.
