ideacentre for gaming?

The up coming ideacentre computers look really good, but i wonder will they have enough speed for gaming.
i think lenovo should make models that include something like geforce 8800gt so we could play modern games with them, what do you think?

Re: ideacentre for gaming?

The graphics card that comes in the Y710, i.e. ATI Radeon HD2600 is DirectX 10.0 compatible and a High Definition card.  It should run most of the current games just fine.  As well, the processor for this model is a Dual Core 2.5, which is plenty fast for most modern games too.

Thanks for your feedback samiK.  I will pass it to our development teams.

As a gamer myself that is one of the things I would love to see.

Re: ideacentre for gaming?

Speaking about gaming on an Ideapad, why doen't Lenovo make a straight up ultra high speed gaming computer? They could name it the "lenovo thinkpad G series" ( since they discontinued the old G series) or they could make it an idea pad. Who knows?
