Re: New ThinkPad Yoga released!!

2013-09-10, 18:47 PM

Hi del_psi,

pls, check by your own,

and to tell you the truth, my X220t was fixed after an update.
I haven´t seen many complains about the X230t precision. So you can be sure it has been fixed.

Best
Andreas

Mmmm.

Apparently only one DIMM slot.... maximum of 8GB RAM. And I don't see anything about built in mobile broadband. That's too bad. I would really have liked the possibility to add more memory. And It would be nice to not have an USB dongle for the broadband.

But otherwise it seems really nice... Much more interesting than the Helix for example. Might just be my next computer to replace my old T61.

For the memory part I could just hope for single module 16GB DDR3 SO-DIMMs to hit the market... But I haven't heard a word about such memory modules even being thought of.

Battery Life seems to be so small because you've got an additional harddrive inside along with a SSD...
But I got this Information from Nick Reynolds:

https://twitter.com/nickonthemove/status/377005525453393920

Hopefully That's right, so I'll get a Way to enhance battery Life :)
Any confirmation from lenovo for hotswappable battery?

I mean on oll photos the only Place would be under the trackpad on the Front of the device, but there is a Screw...

That would be fantastic news, hope he's right. If so, they should clarify on the spec sheet asap!

For me the Screw is a hint, that there wont be a hotswappable battery...
Hope this was just a preproduction model...otherwise I'll have to wait until they release the Helix 2, somewhere next Year :(
