510-15IKB Laptop (ideapad) after Intel ME 11.x, SPS 4.0, and TXE 3.0 Cumulative Security Update

2017-12-01, 17:47 PM

Hi!

I did update for the Intel® Management Engine Critical Firmware Update (Intel-SA-00086) with:
https://support.lenovo.com/downloads/ds501204

And after the update i did check if problem was fixed. It now says:

Risk Assessment

Based on the analysis performed by this tool: This system is not vulnerable. It has already been patched.

For more information refer to the INTEL-SA-00086 Detection Tool Guide or the Intel Security Advisory Intel-SA-00086 at the following link: https://www.intel.com/sa-00086-support

Intel(R) Capability Licensing Service Client software is installed and healthy, but re-key has failed. Please contact your system manufacturer for support.

INTEL-SA-00086 Detection Tool

Application Version: 1.0.0.135
Scan date: 01/12/2017 19:20:32

So about this part here:

"Intel(R) Capability Licensing Service Client software is installed and healthy, but re-key has failed. Please contact your system manufacturer for support."

What does it mean and what do i need to do?

Thanks!

Hello Piret

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

I think this may just be an issue with the chipset driver, I would recommend that you attempt to download and install the chipset driver for the unit from the support page: Support page. Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
