Ideapad 320 - Fan Not Available - as per Lenovo Diagnostic Tool

2018-07-28, 22:12 PM

I have been using Lenovo Ideapad 320 , new machine, since few months. I ran Lenovo diagnostic tool to check if my laptop is working fine but surprised to see that it is showing FAN NOT AVAILABLE under diagnostic options. I want to know if it is fine or I should contact Lenovo for that.

I am attaching screen-shot for ready reference.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Everyone. Welcome to the Community Forums. If you have Windows 10, try to run a Hardware scan using Lenovo Vantage https://lnv.gy/2oDYUg6 then check if it would provide you any test results for the Fan. Reggie_Lenovo

Hi,

I am using windows 7.   Evren if i boot from uefi usb bootable it doesn't recognise that a fan ecists.

This issue has been asked in several occasion on this forum and on different lenovo laptops but lenovo failed to give any satisfactory answer yet.

I believe hat the sofyware do not recognise any fan or and does not have the capability to manage test read the fan.. The developers has ommitted it and it neefs to be reinstated again. The last time it was working was on version 4.0.1

You may try to use any 3rd-party application in monitoring your Laptop Fan. Check if the laptop Fan would appear when using 3rd-party applications such as SpeedFan and Open Hardware Monitor. Reggie_Lenovo
