Hardware Scan Error Code WEP001001-WM7DLN

I have the error code in the title. The results say it has something to do with a PCI Express. I do not understand any of that.

What does this mean, do I need to fix something?

Is there a place to look up what the error code means?

Welcome to the Community Forums.


Best to call in technical support for the decode of the error message and proper recommendation as they would need to run internal tool. 


Make sure that you update the drivers for your machine with the chipset, video, and others are available here on the support site. Updating the same Lenovo Solution Center is also advised.  


From similar discussions here and here:


"if the PCI test is providing an invalid statement for a test result, you can ignore it.  The latest version of the Lenovo Solution Center (LSC) will produce an invalid response when there is no PCI devices to test.  If you look at the test results and you see that the PCI Device Count is 0 and the overall LSC test has passedthen don't worry your system is fine." 


Thi may just be a false positive error code as all others device works as expected.

I've got a hardware error code too and don't know where to take it to get informationabout it.

Open Lenovo Solutions Center, click on Hardware Scan, and rather than start a new scan, select the option to See Last Results   That will display the last log in a readable format.   


It sounds like you are getting errors on the hard drive from what you posted, so backup you data ASAP because any hard drive error(s) at all are a bad thing, and mean that the hard drive needs to be replaced   


If it is under warranty contact Lenovo Support, but if not, you may want to take it to a good computer shop if you are not comfortable replacing the drive and reinstalling Windows yourself, but don't wait, because the drive will progressively get worse, making recovery more difficult.
