IdeaPad 510 - everlasting static electricity on the aluminium body

IdeaPad 510 - static electricity all around the aluminium body (when the charger is plugged)

I can feel the strong static electrictiy over the notebook metal part. This is not happening when running on battery. I just bought the product and sent it to the technical service (04.05.2017)

I'm waiting for the decision of the technical service.

I want to use the product as soon as possible.

Re: IdeaPad 510 - everlasting static electricity on the aluminium body

Hi tuncayozkan ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Since the machine has already been sent , you may check the status of the repair from here.

Else call in technical support and ask options that would work best based on the status of the situation.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Re: IdeaPad 510 - everlasting static electricity on the aluminium body

I applied as DOA. But there is still no improvement. The last update on the system mentioned above link  is 4 may.

Where can I question the situation. How long does DOA certification take?

Re: IdeaPad 510 - everlasting static electricity on the aluminium body

Hi tuncayozkan ,

Greetings.

I would suggest calling technical support directy with the case number.

Instead of DOA issue , static discharge may be appropriate based on early description.

As advised

Some conditions are serious enough that the product should not be used again until it has been examined and, if necessary, repaired by an authorized servicer. If you notice any of the following conditions (or if you have other safety concerns), do not use the product. Unplug it from the power source and contact the Support Center or the product manufacturer for instructions.  Other unusual conditions if they cause you to become concerned regarding the product's safety.

Regards
