Ideapad 100 Wireless card

2017-10-31, 1:53 AM

Hey
I have a 100-15IBD Laptop (ideapad) and i've been having a lot of problems with my wi-fi connection. I have a router which supports both 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, but my area doesn't have a proper 2,4Ghz connection, it's really unstable and I can't connect to the 5Ghz band because my wireless card doesn't support the connection,
My wireless card is a Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC that supports 802.11n/802.11g/802.11b
I was wondering if there was a way that i could connect to the 5Ghz connection
Thanks

Hello Moias

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

Unfortuantely if the wireless card is not compatible with the 5Ghz then it will stay so no matter what.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
