Ideapad 710S: Two Finger Scroll Problem (when scrolling slowly)

Hi,

I've got a brand new ideapad 710s and I have some problems with the two finger scrolling feature of the synaptics touchpad. Basically, it works. So when I move my two fingers up on the touchpad the window scrolls down and vice versa. However, when I move up my fingers rather slowly, the window scrolls up (and not down). When I reach a certain speed with my two fingers while moving them up, the window begins to scroll down again.

This is quite annoying. Especially when I view PDFs with the Adobe Acrobat Reader the pages begin to jump etc.

I don't know if this is a known issue with the touchpad or if it's just my notebook.

Would be great to get some advice!

Thanks

Hi andipower,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!

Have you checked to see if your touchpad driver is up to date through the Lenovo support page? It'd be worth reinstalling/updating that and see if that helps resolve the issue. Have you also checked in Settings > Device > Mouse & Touchpad (Additional mouse settings) to see if it needs adjusting?
