Ideapad 710s won't turn on

2018-01-23, 18:41 PM

Less than a month ago I bought a brand new Lenovo Ideapad 710s, today it suddenly turned off even though it's battery was at 64%. I then plugged in the charger and tried turning it on - nothing happened. Then I held down the power button at it turned on. Only to turn off again after about 15 minutes.

Now, it won't turn on at all.

If I hold down the power button, the light behind the keyboard blinks, but the screen stays black. When I plug in the charger, the light that shows it is charging is on, so the charger is working.

I just can't turn on my computer at all. I don't know if this information is needed, but I have used it almost every day, around 6 hours every day I've used it (I'm using it for school only). The only things installed on the computer was Office 365 and a driver so that I could use my printer.

Any idea how to get it working again?

Hello  Cjensen

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

You could try to use the NOVO button to see if you can get it started up with that, it may get you to the recovery menu.

Otherwise, if the unit is simply refusing to turn on, then I would recommend that you get in touch with your local Lenovo support line for a possible repair on the unit.

Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
