Lenovo 710S Screen failure

Hello!

For the past 3 months I have been a satisfied owner of an lenovo 710s.

However today my laptop started to behave strange: the screen doesn't display anything, nor do the fans run. The laptop is not running even though the power light is still on. I have tried to reboot (pressing power button for 8s) and have plugged the device back to the a/c power chord. The keyboard seems to be working: I can change the keyboard lighting and the caps lock lights can turn off and on.

Has anyone had a similar experience, and if so, were you able to fix it?

Every reply is welcome!

Re: Lenovo 710S Screen failure

Hi Tjon,
I experienced the same issue with my Yoga 700. i proformed a static discharge on the unit and then it started booting and displaying the image fine.
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
If this does not work, then you may have an issue with the unit and would need to contact Lenovo Technical Support.

I'm having the same issue. Could it have anything to do with the laptop being too cold? I travel a lot and my laptop easily gets below 5 degrees Celsius.
