I have owned a Lenovo Flex 4 1470 2-1 for about a year now. At the beginning of this year, I noticed that my keyboard and trackpad had been disabled. I quickly realized that they would be promptly reactivated when I switched into a tablet position. Occasionally, upon restart or resetting the computer, the normal keyboard/trackpad function will return. Every time this happens though it rarely lasts longer than a day. Sometimes, it has returned even when I did nothing to fix it. Sometimes, if I held my laptop at a certain angle, or applied pressure to the base of the laptop, the function would return momentarily. Overall, the tablet/laptop hybrid function has been acting erratic and unnatural.
I have already tried restarting my computer, reenabling the trackpad in lenovo's settings application, resetting my PC(both without removing personal files and removing personal files) as well as running countless virus and malware scans.
I would return it to costco where I purchased it from, but my laptop is very important to me and Costco typically ships it out to the manufacturer for troubleshooting. Returning to Costco is a last resort that will be time consuming and cumbersome to my work and school.
Please help, I have been using an external keyboard and mouse for much too long.
Again, for reference, I own a Lenovo Flex 4 1470 running Windows 10.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Sounds like this will be a hardware issue.
As you say the function returns when you place pressure on a point on the unit, sounds like that possibly something is loose causing the function to dissapear at random.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
If these steps do not work I would recommend, that you call your local Lenovo support line for a possible service. Below is the link to the phone list where you can find these numbers
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
