Lenovo Flex 5 fan noise

2018-06-17, 14:46 PM

Past week i received my Flex 5 14", first impressions was awesome - fast, good LCD, compact. But after few hours of use, all of my impressions was broken by fan noise - mine Acer Aspire Nitro, under 60-80% percent load CPU,  wasn't loud  a half of Lenovo is under 20% of CPU use. Fan isn't works correct at all, and, how can i see - issue is mass, many people wrote this or other forums with same issue.

Only fix, i've found is undervolting CPU to 85% by Windows power management. Is that solution? Don't think.

When this issue will be fixed? Want to see official comments from Lenovo.

There should be a reason why these fan noises occur.

Maybe a lot of processes in the background, services being used. You can disable some unnecessary process manually, or by a help of third-party software.

Otherwise if it still doesn't work, fan noises keep coming, maybe the fans are overreacting, I'm not so sure if that is the right term. Even though the laptop isn't hot, these fans will turn too high at speed.

Undervolt your CPU at your own risk, because too much undervolt may not make your laptop work properly.
