Lenovo Ideapad flex 14 touchscreen not working

The touchscreen on my ideapad flex 14 laptop is not working. I've tried uninstalling the driver in device manager and then restarting my computer. I've also checked that all drivers are up to date. I'm on wondows 10 and I think it has worked since the upgrade (though I'm not 100% sure).

Any ideas?

Re: Lenovo Ideapad flex 14 touchscreen not working

Welcome to the Forums Bevvy!

Press Windows+X.

- Select Device Manager.

- Find the Touchscreen driver under Mice and Other Pointing Devices>USB Touchscreen Controller(A111).  You're going to uninstall this and check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device".  Don't worry, it won't blow up your computer.

- Restart your computer.

- Re-open the Device Manager, and confirm that the Touchscreen is now listed under Human Interface Devices.

Let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Shashi

Re: Lenovo Ideapad flex 14 touchscreen not working

Hi, i got the same problem as well. Upgrading from Windows 8 -> 8.1 -> 10. No issue after upgrading to Windows 10 until now, the touchscreen is not functioning.

I wanted to try your suggestion, but I cannot find USB touchscreen controller in the device manager. Is there any other way of solving it?

Re: Lenovo Ideapad flex 14 touchscreen not working

Hi there, Happy -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

In regards to your issue with Flex 14 touchscreen works fine until a USB device is used/installed, and thereafter works sporadically. You will require to send your machine to our services team. A firmware had been set to address this issue and can only be done by our service team. The reason for this is because the firmware cannot be applied by end users as it requires disconnecting a few cables inside the system. You will require to contact our service team for the assistance.

Update us how it goes.
