Touch Screen fails after Window 10 Creator update

2017-06-23, 16:06 PM

Flex3-1480.  System updated to Creator update on 20 June.  Touch Screens fails.  Checked device manager.  Tried below recommendations

  1. Find the Touch screen driver under Mice and Other Pointing Devices > USB Touchscreen Controller(A111). >>> USB Touch screen controller not present.
  2. If the feature is still not back, open Device Manager -> Human Interface Devices. Right-click HID compliant touch screen, then uninstall. >>>> HID complient  touch screen not listed
  3. Or if you cannot locate any USB Touchscreen Controller(A111), please try to look for an option called "USB Root Hub (xHCI)" under USB Controllers or Universal Serial Bus. If it was labeled as disabled >>>> not disabled.

Resolved.  There are multiple user profile on this system.  After logging on to all user profiles and letting Windows update and then restarting device manager now shows HID- complient touch screen unders HID section and Windows touch screen is now operational.
