Where is my HDD Ideapad 100-15IBD

Hi everyone, I recently bought a Lenovo Ideapad 100-15IBD, it's supposed to be equipped with an SDD of 126 GB and an HDD, but all I see is the SDD even when I open Disk Management I can't seem to find it as if it wasn't equipped on the PC.

Thank you for your help

Re: Where is my HDD Ideapad 100-15IBD

Hi lamradnane ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Would you have the machine number (check on the machine number from the sticker or check it from here ,just keep your serial number confidential) .  It would appear similar to this 80QQ00CQUK  .

Physical devices detected by the machine should show in the BIOS . Turning off the system and using the Novo key to power on would give Novo Menu that offers BIOS set up as this can also be verified within windows under device manager if recognized.

The parts lookup page would also be able to verify the devices /parts using the machine number or SN.

Update us as soon as convenient.

Regards

Re: Where is my HDD Ideapad 100-15IBD

I looked up my machine number and didn't find any HDD, just the SSD. I guess my model doesn't come up with the HDD. I don't know because 100gb on the SSD are not sufficient. Can I add an HDD to my notebook ? The machine number is 80QQ00HQMB

Re: Where is my HDD Ideapad 100-15IBD

Hi lamradnane ,

Greetings.

As we verified that the installed storage package for : Notebook IP 100-15IBD I3 4G 128G 10H Machine Type - Model 80QQ00HQMB  Part number  : 5SD0H45117 Samsung MZYLF128HCHP 2.5‘ SOLID STATE DRIVE alone.

Different from other package such as 80QQ00CQUK  than have HDD (item 6, page 62)  than an SSD ,  to have both then you can convert the optical drive tray for the HDD using a caddy. Else if the ODD is something that you often use an external harddrive is an alternative.

Regards

Re: Where is my HDD Ideapad 100-15IBD

Hi lamradnane ,

Greetings.

No specific caddy of choice but as it offer same SATA port connection , manufacturer of caddy would have a model specific mentions for the fit similar to this . Searching for a ODD to HDD caddy should be referenced thru model and brands and possibilities of returns just in case.

Hope this helps giving you an idea of choice .

Regards
