Bluetooth Mouse stuttering / not fluid problem Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 gen 7 (16ARH7)
- My Laptop: Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 16ARH7 Model Number 82SC000PGE
- Ryzen 6600H CPU, Nvidia RTX 3050Ti GPU
- Windows 11 22H2 22621.1992 (July 2023)
- Latest BIOS and drivers installed via Lenovo Vantage
- Bought: 20th July 2023 (4 days ago)
- Bluetooth Mouse: Microsoft Precision Mouse (rechargeable)
Problem occurs when: Using Mouse in Bluetooth mode (what it's designed for)
Problem does NOT occur when: Using mouse via USB, using mouse on any other device (tested on a Lenovo Ideapad S340, an HP Laptop, a Dell Laptop, all with Windows 10 installed)
Tried solutions so far with no prevail: Turning mouse off and on, unpairing and re-pairing, uninstalling and re-installing drivers, reinstalling Windows 11, tinkering with the official Microsoft Precision mouse application, changing DPI settings etc., tinkering with windows mouse settings (unchecking mouse trail etc.)
VERY CURIOUS: Problem is resolved when letting the mouse fall into sleep mode (usually after ~1min) and waking it up again, but that doesn't work every time! Seamingly random!
Hi guys I tried to put all the information I think will help you at the top of my request, now to the problem:
When moving the mouse the pointer has small micro stutters (~1ms) - the mouse pointer doesn't move fluid across the screen. This is very noticeable in games but also during normal use. It feels like the mouse pointer gets stuck every 0.3 seconds and skips a beat. It is very noticeable when upping the mouse speed in mouse settings, then the pointer very noticeably skips around. Lets say you physically move the mouse 1 unit every second. In reality what happens is that every 0.3-0.4 seconds the mouse moves 1.5 units, then 0.5 units then 0.x units 1.x units etc. it skips beats or doesnt "refresh" fluidly, only seemingly random.
Like mentioned above it's magically fixed when letting the mouse sleep and wake up, though not always. It's also fixed when using the mouse wired instead of over bluetooth. Problem doesn't occur on other devices, only this one.
It's a bummer, I really love this new laptop it's very powerful compared to my other PC's/Laptops I used and I would be so happy with it if the Bluetooth problem didn't exist. If there is no fix I feel forced to return this Laptop.
Thanks in advance, kind regards
