Corrupted bios IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6.

Hi everyone I have a little problem with my laptop.

Laptop: IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6

MTM: 82K101EHFR

2xm.2 500gb, 1tb 2,5inch Ssd

32gb Ram (not original, swap done 2 month ago. Original 8gb has been coupled with an other stick from a previous laptop on the day of the purchase)

CURRENT STATE:

Powers on, power light on.

It goes through a first power cycle, restart after 3-5 seconds and stays in this state.

Keyboard light on then off but is dimming keyboard shortcut still works.

Screen shows no life, not backlight.

When pressing the Novo button it seems to behave exactly the same.

WHAT HAPPENED:

Update yesterday, windows explorer became really slow and buggy but still usable.
this morning explorer is unusable.
I have to go to work so I leave with the laptop turned on and I came back to a boot loop. Unplug the laptop and tried to stop the boot loop by accessing the bios menu or something but nothing worked.
The laptop then tried to repair the bios itself and went through a few loop but then the battery died… ( I hate myself for sitting on that sofa believe me, from now on, the chair is f***ing lovely)

WHAT I’VE TRIED:

The research’s have done haven’t been fruitful yet I keep trying.
I went through a few power cycle with and without the battery draining it before hand.
I have swapped the ram with the old stick.
removed all hard drives ( the boot one is back in).
The Novo button hasn’t been helpful so far nothing seem to happen when I interact with it…

I have seen a couple of video presenting a few other models of Lenovo’s with the Novo button features and there seem to be a hidden script because after a pattern of arrow keystrokes they were able to leave that state.

PLEASE HELP

Re:Corrupted bios IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6.

Hi guest28961,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your IdeaPad Gaming 3 15IHU6. It sounds like you've already tried a number of troubleshooting steps, but I have a few more suggestions that might help.

First, try to perform a static discharge. To do this, unplug the AC adapter and press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Then, reconnect the AC adapter and try to power on the laptop.

If that doesn't work, you might want to try resetting the BIOS to its default settings. To do this, you'll need to access the BIOS setup utility during startup by pressing the F1 key when the Lenovo logo appears. Once in the BIOS setup utility, you can select "Load Setup Defaults" and then "Exit Saving Changes".

If you're still unable to resolve the issue, it might be best to contact Lenovo support directly for further assistance. You can submit a service request for technical support here.

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Hassen_Lenovo
