Welcome to the Community, BLAST69!
Glad to assist!
Sorry about your FPS, but the charger should give you the wanted FPS you set since it is direct power (normal).
Have you tested your charger?
Have you reinstalled or updated your display driver?
Have you checked the game settings/FPS too?
What Windows version are you in?

@BLAST69
There are many reasons why FPS drops. One reason is having a big workload/multi apps open that is more than the hardware can handle.
Please do the following :
Uninstall the GPU driver and reboot
Scan using Windows Defender
Check RAM status.
Get the Windows 22H2 version.

Hello! How are you? How is your PC? We want to make a follow-up since we have not seen your reply yet and this is still not solved. Also, FPS runs low on Battery Saver or instead of High/Ultra Performance.
Thanks!

BLAST69,
You're right, non-gaming models may not meet your expectations sometimes.
For FPS issues, that could be the power plan, Vantage, drivers, recent updates, OS, or GPU already, these are the only things you can troubleshoot. Else, it is the design/limitation of the hardware.
Have you tried System Restore or Soft Reset?
