Lenovo 710S-13IKB Processor Issue

I have a Lenovo 710S-13IKB Laptop (Ideapad), and it's extremely slow.

When I first turn on the computer, it runs smoothly for the first 20-30 seconds, with the processor showing a speed of 3.00 GHz in the Task Manager. However, after that brief period, the processor speed drops sharply to 0.38 GHz and remains stuck there, causing the computer to become painfully slow.

I've researched the issue online and suspect it might be related to the BIOS. Although the BIOS is updated to the latest version, I believe downgrading it might help. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find an older BIOS version on Lenovo’s website.

PS. I already format the computer twice, changed the NVMe disk and the problem remains the same.

  5. Adjust Power Management in Control Panel: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings. Expand Processor Power Management and set Minimum / Maximum Processor State for both Plugged in and On Battery settings:
    Minimum - 5%
    Maximum - 100%
    (can be reduced / increased depending on which works best for you)
