No HDMI output to TV after Windows update

Hello Support Team.

My product is ideapad 3-17IML05 Laptop - Type 81WC

After Windows updated from Windows 10 to 11 version, after few weeks there is no HDMI output to Samsung TV.  It worked without any issues on Windows 10, and for some days after update to Windows 11.  Tv shows red sign on HDMI port icon as if it turned off and needs to be turned on. At the same time the HDMI cable is fine and works as usual on other machine.

I tried the solutions proposed in some posts, like static discharge, BIOS update, driver update and roll back, and something else, but to no avail.

Also the interesting thing is that Windows system recognizes TV is connected and shows it in display tab in system settings, but there is no output to TV anyway.

So, any help would be appreciated. Thank You

Re:No HDMI output to TV after Windows update

Hi guest22305,

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing with your HDMI output after updating to Windows 11. It's strange that your system recognizes the TV but there's no output.

One possible solution could be to check if your graphics card driver is up-to-date. You can do this by going to the Device Manager, expanding the Display adapters section, right-clicking on your graphics card, and selecting 'Update driver'.

If this doesn't work, you might want to try using the Lenovo Vantage app to check for any system updates. You can download it from the Windows app Store here.

If the issue persists, I would recommend reaching out to our technical support team. You can submit a service request here or find a local authorized service center here.

I hope this helps and please let us know if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
Dex_Lenovo
