Hi,I bought my laptop before around 3 months before.But my touchpad is not working for the last 1 month.If I update my laptop it is working for sometime but after that it is not working.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the touchpad issue:

1. Perform a power drain
   
   - Remove all cables connected to the device (power cable, hdmi, external mouse, external keyboard, etc)
   - Be sure device is switched off / powered off
   - Press and hold down the power button for 60 seconds
   - When done, re-attach all cables
   - Attach the ac adapter and let the unit charge for about couple of minutes

2. Update Drivers: Ensure that your touchpad drivers are up to date. You can do this through the Lenovo Vantage App which helps keep your system drivers updated.

3. Reload the BIOS Settings to Defaults
   
   - Select the Start Menu, then choose Settings > Update & Security > Recovery. Under Advanced startup, select Restart now. After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > UEFI Firmware settings

   - Press the power button to completely shut down the unit.
   - Press the Novo Button - The button can be reached/clicked by an unfolded paperclip or similar.
   - Choose the BIOS setup.
   - If you do not have a Novo Button, then repeatedly pressing F1 of F2 or Shift + Power button (FN+F1 or F2) on startup will take you to the BIOS.
   - Navigate to the EXIT tab
   - Press "Load Default Settings"
   - Save & Exit changes

4. Check Touchpad Settings: Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and ensure that the touchpad is enabled. Sometimes, settings can be inadvertently changed.

5. Reinstall Touchpad Driver:

   • Open Device Manager (right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager).
   • Find Mice and other pointing devices, right-click on your touchpad device, and select Uninstall device.
   • Restart your laptop, and Windows should automatically reinstall the touchpad driver.

6. BIOS Update: Sometimes, updating the BIOS can resolve hardware compatibility issues. You can find the latest BIOS update for your model on the Lenovo Support Website.
