Welcome to the Community Forums @Sanjeev28,
Is your machine running on windows 10 or Windows 11?
Here are some steps you can try.
Go to Control panel and choose Power options.
Under System Settings, click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
Ensure Power button settings are set to shutdown.
Disable Fast Startup:
Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Power Options --> Choose What the Power Buttons Do --> click Change settings that are currently unavailable --> under Shutdown settings, uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended)--> click Save Changes
Save changes and shutdown.
Another option is to go to Device Manager.
Under system devices right click on Intel Management Interface and choose properties.
Choose the Power Management tab and uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
I'd recommend try performing a system file scanner to determine any corrupted system files on Windows and repair it.
Try disabling the Always on USB feature and Charge in Battery Mode feature from the BIOS.
Perform a static discharge/power cycle
- Remove all cables connected to the device (power cable, hdmi, external mouse, external keyboard, etc)
- Be sure device is switched off / powered off
- Press and hold down the power button for 60 seconds
- When done, re-attach all cables
- Attach the ac adapter and let the unit charge for about couple of minutes
- Locate your machine's Novo button from the either sides. Check this knowledge base showing how it would look like: https://support.lenovo.com/ph/en/solutions/ht062552-introduction-to-novo-button-ideapad
- Click this by using an unfolded paperclip or anything similar that would fit.
- Machine should power up and boot straight to Novo Menu.
- Navigate and select using the arrow keys to BIOS Set Up.
- Go to Configuration tab.
- Find the two mentioned features above "Always on USB" and "Charge in Battery Mode"
- Set these to as "Disabled"
- Navigate to the Exit Menu. Select Exit and Save Changes then click Enter, select YES and click Enter.
- Laptop should boot back to Windows.
If that does not work, reload the BIOS to defaults.
Boot through Novo button
