Re: Continuing BSOD crashes with Windows 10 and AMD Radeon R7 M360 graphics adapter driver

Device Make:Lenovo ideapad 50015ISK
BIOS: CFCN24WWV1.06

Currently my laptop has updated from Windows 10 Home single language version 1511 to version 1709.
After completing the update, laptop started experiencing Blue screen of death (BSOD) error with message of "VIDEO MANAGEMENT INTERNAL".

So I started finding the cause of error and i found that error is caused due to 'AMD Radeon R7 M360' device driver.

Laptop has two Graphics device driver
1)Intel HD 520
2)Amd Radeon R7 M360

As AMD device was causing error i disabled the device through
Device manager>display adapters>Amd Radeon R7 M360>Disable device.

As soon as i disable the AMD device, laptop works with zero blue screen error and works properly through out the laptop use

The "catalyst driver" from Lenovo site and latest driver "adrenaline" from amd site works good with no error on older windows 10 version 1511 but as soon as windows gets updated to 1709 the bsod occurs.

So the real problem with laptop is lack of support of latest driver for Amd device with latest windows version like(1709)

The LENOVO Site is providing drivers which are old and works only with older windows version and they do not provide latest drivers for 'AMD Radeon R7 m360' for latest windows versions.

The real problem is that i cant stop windows 10 getting updated to latest version and the graphic driver remains older causes bsod on latest windows version .Either lenovo Provide Latest drivers for device or give stable windows update which works with old drivers.

With onekey recovery software on laptop I restored the laptop to factory settings and preventing windows 10 getting automatically updated 1709 or latest 1803.

till now I am using my laptop with windows version 1511 and amd graphic driver version 15.201.1001.1002.

Re: Continuing BSOD crashes with Windows 10 and AMD Radeon R7 M360 graphics adapter driver

Don't update your laptop then if it's giving your those errors.

Go to services.msc and disable Windows Update Service.

Then go to your WiFi and set it as metered connection.

Despite this, you would still get security updates. That is fine as it will improve your laptop's security and not brick your laptop.

Usually updating your drivers to the latest version is not always recommended. There are times that the laptop is not designed for new driver versions in some components, so just stop updating it.

Re: Continuing BSOD crashes with Windows 10 and AMD Radeon R7 M360 graphics adapter driver

But lenovo and windows should provide latest drivers that supports latest windows 10. We cant
get the experience of latest windows despite paying the whole money.

Some People are having problem with R7 m265 device ,Me and other people facing the same problem also posted this in microsoft community.

As you have mentioned, i am not updating my laptop because i need amd device for my CAD work in college.

Re: Continuing BSOD crashes with Windows 10 and AMD Radeon R7 M360 graphics adapter driver

This is somehow quite an issue to AMD and Raedon.

I do have a very old HP Laptop with Raedon Graphics back in 2010 and the Raedon Graphics Driver would stopped working at some point, or create a BSOD. When the issue wouldn't stop, I just simply disable the driver and there it stopped, it's just that I can no longer play games or do GPU intense applications in that laptop anymore.

Re: Continuing BSOD crashes with Windows 10 and AMD Radeon R7 M360 graphics adapter driver

here is the thing that i have found,

lenovo offers some drivers updates to their thinkpad series laptops which uses similar AMD Radeon R7 M360 device. The released dates are last month 10th of may 2018.

 here is the link

https://support.lenovo.com/in/en/downloads/ds105379

For my laptop it still shows older device driver which was releassed on 14th of march 2016

Should i download and test that out as it is a new release.

Re: Continuing BSOD crashes with Windows 10 and AMD Radeon R7 M360 graphics adapter driver

Dear All,

After 7 Months trying to fix this issue, Windows Update will try to install old version of AMD Radeon Graphic Card.

1- You need to go to AMD website support https://www.amd.com/en/support and download Auto-detect and install Radeon Graphics Drivers for Windows.
2- When it downloads and installs the Radeon driver, Right click on the desktop and click Amd Radeon Settings

3- Go to Gaming Tab and enter Global Settings and Click Reset, all the gaming graphics configuration will reset.

4- Now follow the instruction carefully:

-Anti-Aliasing Mode (Use Application Settings)
-Anti-Aliasing Method (Multisampling
-Morphological Filtering (Off)
-Anisotropic Filtering Mode (Use Application Settings)
-Texture Filtering Quality (Performance)

-Surface Format Optimization (On)
-Wait For Vertical Refresh (Always Off)

-OpenGL Triple Buffering (Off

-Shader Cache (Amd Optimized)
-Tessellation Mode (Override Application Settings)
-Chill (Off)

5- Click Exit and go Run Tab and Click Regedit

6- Go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile     and change the value of
SystemResponsiveness (Hexadecimal) 07- Go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile\Tasks\Games      and change values to
- Priority (Hexadecimal) 6
- GPU Priority (Hexadecimal) 8
- Scheduling Category High

8- Click close and go Run Tab msconfig

9- Services and disable the Elan Service  by ELAN Microelectronics Corp

10- Click Apply and Restart Later

11- Go to Run Tab and Type Powercfg.cpl

12- Go to Change Settings For The Plan: Balanced and Click on Change Advanced Power Settings13- Scroll down and expand PCI Express  then expand Link State Power Management if its a Laptop
- On Battery change it to OFF
- Plugged in change it to OFF14- Apply and OK and Now Restart your Computer

Now on startup Windows you shouldn't get any Blue Screen and Everything will work fine.

Hope this Solution will fix your issue !

Re: Continuing BSOD crashes with Windows 10 and AMD Radeon R7 M360 graphics adapter driver

Have you tried Rolling back your Intel HD Graphics Driver to a previous version in your device manager? You can try if a previous version of the graphics driver is available.

This what caused my BSOD with my Ideapad 320, and although I thought it was from my Nvidia card, it was actually coming from my intel graphics card. I rolled in back in previous version and now no more BSODs.
