DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION | Ideapad Gaming 3 (Ryzen 7) 15ARH05

2021-06-08, 10:45 AM

Hello everyone,

This morning I had two DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BlueScreens in the span of an hour. I was using Zoom and Open Broadcasting Studio (OBS) at the same time (didn't have any other program in the background) and the system completelty froze (stopped responding) and then displayed the BSOD. I do not know what to do because my laptop is relatively new (no more than a month and a half old) and was stable and performing well untill now. I am running the latest version of Windows 10 64-bit (21H1) and all the drivers that Lenovo Vantage offers are updated. The NVIDIA GeForce Experience driver is also updated. What should I do?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the Community

There's a list of solutions to try. I'd start with disconnecting peripherals, first. If it continues to happen, check for an OBS update. If I read your post, correctly, you have two livestream programs operating simultaneously. IMO, that's bound to cause some trainwrecks. OBS has a history of blue-screening.

Just some thoughts.

I just received the same BSOD and now I'm only using Zoom. Before that I updated OBS and performed a System File Check, which yielded corruption and fixed it. Checkdisk yields no problems. I am in a state in which my system is extremely unstable and I don't know when the next BSOD will appear :(

If you found and fixed corrupted files, that might just be all you need. If it continues, come back here and/or try the solutions I linked, above.

Keep us posted.
