Does this specific model of Ideapad 330s supports M.2 SSD?

2019-11-21, 17:44 PM

Hello,

i'm here to ask if the Lenovo IdeaPad 330s-15ikb model 81F5 have the M.2. port to support M2 NVMe SSDs.

Details:

Model name: 81F5

S/N.:********

MFG Date: 18/06/26

MTM: 81F500NCIX

Factory ID: GXSC

I'm asking this question to be 100% sure if this laptop can support M2 SSDs. Because i don't have it, not yet.

Thank you

Yes it does. I'd recommend the Corsair Force MP510 unless you want to spend more for a Samsung 970 EVO Plus.

Ideapad 330S-15IKB 81F500NSUS, BIOS 7SCN26WW, Core-i5, 20GB RAM (Crucial CT16G4SFD8266), 480GB Corsair MP510 M.2 NVMe, 500GB Samsung EVO 850 SATA SSD, Intel 9260NGW AC-WiFi OS: Win10 "lite", Manjaro 18.1.1 Xfce k/4.19, LinuxMint and/or Lubuntu

Hi

Welcome to Community Forums!

According to the motherboard with part number 5B20R07295 as shown on the image below, this computer came with 2 M.2 connectors, one for the SSD (long) and one for the Wireless Card (short).

The specific motherboard that you can see on the image above was collected through this link by selecting system boards under select commodity as shown on the image below.

Hope this help answer your query.

Regards
