ELAN tab missing in mouse properties

2020-02-06, 16:48 PM

I previously had the Elan tab show up correctly in mouse properties, but recently I had to format my C drive, and download Windows again. After I installed Windows again and had everything set up, I went to my mouse properties and noticed that Elan tab was missing.

I tried downloading a LOT of Elan drivers from Lenovo, officialy. But still Elan tab wouldn't show.

I even tried to download the recommended one by serial number, still didn't show.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad 320

Hi Ammar10.

Welcome to the Community Forums.

If the ELAN tab is missing, re-install the touchpad driver by going to http://support.lenovo.com, selecting your product and going to "Drivers & Software" to find ELAN touchpad driver, or searching ELAN driver for your product, and try to reboot the device for 2 times and Perform a power drain, tell me how it goes.

Regards.

I did as you said, downloaded from the website provided, did an automatic identification of serial number, searched, downloaded and installed the touchpad driver then did a power drain and restarted twice (followed the instructions provided) but it still doesn't show.

Re: ELAN tab missing in mouse properties

Okay, so using the 3rd solution I was able to get Elan settings to work and already applied what I wanted to my touchpad. Still not appearing in my tabs, though. I think letting that go as of now is the best option because I have another problem.. (Was present before I did anything that was suggested here)

Whenever I click/hold a button, my touchpad stops working. My original plan was to get Elan to show in the tabs, so I can access the settings from to there to fix the keyboard/touchpad issue, but I managed to get to the settings by downloading the settings program from Microsoft Store, apparently the fix isn't there. What can I do?
