IDEAPAD 330 15IKB 81DE01MJIN SSD Addition

2019-05-19, 9:45 AM

Hi ,

I own a Lenovo Ideapad 330 15IKB 81DE01MJIN variant. I feel the bootup speed is very slow . It takes more than 2 min before I can start using it . So , I am planning to add a SSD drive to be used alongside the 1TB HDD already present. So , please suggest on which configuration of SSD I have to buy . PCIE or NvME . Suggesting a compatible SSD product name would be very helpful too .

Hi Sreecharantalla!

Welcome to the Lenovo forum discussion!

Based from the hardware maintenance manual https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/330-14ikb_81da_g2_330-
CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6 (see page 28 for the full specs) of the Lenovo IdeaPad 330-15IKB, the laptop can hold up to 256GB of SSD via  PCIe SATA 3. For the compatible SSD, you can try using any brand of SSD as long as it has the same specs from the hardware maintenance manual. Let us know how it goes.
