Re: Idea Windows based Tablets and Convertibles Shipping Thread

Got my Yoga 2 Pro i7/8gb/256gb from Best Buy - shipped one day slower than the 5 days they originally projected (took 6 days from order to delivery), but it's here!  I think they are sold out of this model now but there are a couple other models that show ready for shipping.

triathlonj - How is it?  Any fan noise, wireless dropping, or flickering?

Is the yellow unbearable?

Wowser!    I just checked the order staus again, thinking that the system may have been wrong.    Well, it was wrong.   It now says that the Yoga 2 Pro ordered Teusday night has now shipped!   If true, that is a whole lot better than the "Over 4 Weeks"  still showing on the Lenovo store site.  I will take the 2 days.

But I do wonder what that says about the huge backlog of orders claimed by Lenovo.

I won't know until December 25th - it is a present for my wife.  (She has been wanting a windows based laptop for a year or two so she can remote desktop into work without being tied to the desk in the study).  I hope the known issues aren't too unbearable - but we shall see.

Vampelly,

You can go to the UPS site and have it re-routed I think (like to your work address).  That might save you a trip to the scary district.

I find that a lot of UPS drivers seem to avoid trying to deliver "signature required" packages during the middle of the day. Stuf that doesn't require a signature gets dropped at my door all day long, but the signature required ones almost always show up around 6pm. I wish there was a way to tell UPS that "Yes, someone is homw during the day".

Sign up for the free verison of UPS My Choice. It does some nice things (shipments to you just magically show up on a calendar, etc. And you can easily release a shipment from the Signature Required if you just want them to drop it off at your door.

Z.

I have tried to do the UPS choice thing, but it doesn't like my address. It keeps telling me i already have used that address...except i'm still on the verification process.

I would have preferred 6pm...lol
