I did try that method but it's still not working.

Just tested with the new 30watt STAPM patch. Performance in 3dmark benchmarks went up by 35-40% and games are now 50% faster than before. Kudos to the maker! :)

Wish I could figure out what I'm doing wrong so I can finally get this fix working.

How are temps looking? I know on default settings it'll throttle around 50C and I've seen it peak somewhere over 60C on my own system.

I also have a Lenovo A485 with a 2700u pro for work. I ran cinebench on both the 330s and the a485 and expected similar results. The 330s gets a score of 650 on the first run and sustains 3ghz on all cores and then after that it drops to 600 on the second run with clocks between 2.6 and 2.8.
The A485 on the other hand never clocks higher than 2.6 on all cores and gets a dismal 534 in cinebench. Subsequent runs get the same result and the fan barely runs. It appears the business line was gimped even more than the consumer line. I may place a support call to complain about this. They should fix this at the bios level for both models.

I'd really appreciate it if someone with the 330S 15ARR who's gotten this working could upload their modified DSDT so I can see where I've possibly gone wrong with modifying mine.

Change line 4868    to

AFN4 (Local2, ALIB (0x01, XX00),)

and then it will compile. Now that I have compiled mine I am trying to figure out how to load it on boot.

Re: Ideapad 330 Ryzen 5 2500u underperforming

For me, it took a few attempts to get it to load on boot with clover.  For it to work for me, I put the updated DSDT file on the USB drive in the /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/WINDOWS/ directory by itself and deleted the /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/origin directory that was previously created with F4.

After booting from the USB check the values using amdUprof.  The Clover method is only temporary, so you'll need to boot from the USB drive each time.  If you boot normally from the HDD, the updated values will not take effect.

After a week of using this fix, I have noticed an issue with the battery charge indicator in Windows not displaying correctly, but as far as I can see it doesn't seem to affect charging etc.

Awesome glad that worked. I had the error on mine and did not even make a single change. It was an error made by Lenovo.

In order to get it to load I had to download the windows driver kit. https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=526733%C2%A0 Then run the commands Baltyre said after creating dsdt directory on the c drive and putting my modified dsdt there

Run on cmd as admin :

mkdir c:\dsdt
c: & cd \dsdt
set 64bit_OS_asl="C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Tools\x64\ACPIVerify\asl.exe"
set 32bit_OS_asl="C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Tools\x86\ACPIVerify\asl.exe"
copy /y %32bit_OS_asl% c:\dsdt > nul & copy /y %64bit_OS_asl% c:\dsdt > nul
if not exist c:\dsdt\asl.exe echo ERROR: Failed

You have to have secure boot turned off in bios to run this

c: & cd \dsdt
asl /loadtable dsdt-modified.aml
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

 Then restart.

So I've tried that method too but still no dice. In the attached screenshot of my cmd is the bit outlined in red supposed to be there?
