Ideapad L340 15IWL showing only microsoft basic display adapter

2019-12-26, 8:20 AM

I've bought the Lenovo Ideapad L340 15IWL. I installed windows10 and the drivers. But, this is how my device manager looks like . It only shows microsoft basic display adapter. no intel or nvidia

I installed the lenovo vantage and it showed I needed update for Intel VGA driver 10, I downloaded and installed the update and still have the same problem, also it is still showing as a recommended update. What can I do?

Hi R27E,

Welcome to the Community Forums!

I really want to help here.

Not all Ideapad L340 15IWL will have the NVIDIA VGA, specifications may not be available in all regions.

You can try this troubleshooting steps.

Uninstall (other devices), and go to  pcsupport.lenovo.com and update to the latest driver.

Give us an update on how it goes.

Regards.
Dondon_Lenovo.

The laptop has the Nvidia card sticker on it, I thought it has the Nvidia VGA. How can I tell without opening it?. I also tried uninstalling and updating to the latest drivers with no luck

Hi R27E,

Nvida and Nvidia VGA are the same.

Have you uninstalled (other device)

Try this troubleshooting steps.

After uninstalling Other device
Click: Drivers & Software, select Automatic Driver Update, please send me a photo of the end result of the update.

Regards.

I uninstalled other devices, automatically updated the drivers. This is a screenshot after the update

After restarting, the other devices reappeared. And when I rescanned for updates it still shows me "Intel VGA Driver-10" as a recommended update although I just updated it

HI R27E,

Sorry for the late reply.

From your screen shot you have successfully updated the driver.
Please check Device manger and Vantage and share a screen shoot of the drivers.

Regards.
